Hello, and welcome to Epic of Science. My name is Jilali A., and I am the writer and creator behind this site.

My relationship with science began at university, where I earned a degree in physics and chemistry and completed a specialized year in physics. That training gave me something I have carried ever since: a genuine feel for how the exact sciences work — not as lists of facts to memorize, but as ideas built slowly, argued over, and refined by real people. Before finishing that path, I spent five years working in a chemistry laboratory, where I learned the difference between a student’s exam and a plant controller’s real, moving process and understood that the usefulness of what we learn on the school bench lies in that difference.

Later, I returned to study and earned a degree in Health-Environment Techniques, leading to a career of more than 27 years in public health with Morocco’s Ministry of Health. That work focused on prevention, environmental health, and conditions that keep communities safe. It taught me how scientific knowledge translates into decisions that affect real lives. It is a perspective I bring to everything I write.

Throughout it all, one thing never changed: I never stopped reading. For more than thirty years, I have followed mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and software development as a lifelong student through books, papers, and increasingly hands-on practice with tools like JavaScript, PHP, and Python. Epic of Science is built and maintained with those same hands.

Why I Created Epic of Science

I started this site because I want to keep the love of science alive and pass it on and to help grow the community of people who share that love. My aim is to write about it with accuracy and the clarity it deserves, for readers who want to think deeply without being talked down to.

Every article I publish is carefully researched and fact-checked. I write about mathematics, physics, and the history of science, and I am gradually expanding into chemistry, a subject close to my original training and years in the laboratory. In time, I also plan to share my professional experience in health and environment, particularly on the prevention of adverse and avoidable health events, a field I have spent much of my working life in, on a separate dedicated site.

How These Articles Are Made

I use AI tools as part of my research and drafting process, in the same way I use search engines, reference works, and libraries. They help me gather material, structure an argument, and stress-test my own writing. What they do not do is decide what this site publishes.
Every factual claim is checked against a primary or authoritative source before it appears here; every external link is opened and read; and where a source could not be verified, the claim is removed rather than softened. The editorial judgement, the corrections, and the responsibility for what is published are mine.
